Leukopaks are obtained by a donation process where blood is withdrawn from the donor via leukapheresis, utilizing an apheresis system. The donor’s white blood-cells are selectively collected and the remaining blood is reinfused into the body. The healthy human donor peripheral blood leukopaks are from donors that tested negative for HIV, HBV, and HCV. All of the donors are fully consented and protocols are IRB approved.
